MUDr. David Rumpík, Ph.D.

MUDr. David Rumpík, Ph.D. graduated in 1994 from the Medical Faculty of Masaryk University in Brno. From 1994 to 2000 he worked at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University in Brno. In 2001 he founded the Clinic of Reproductive Medicine and Gynecology in Zlín, where he works as its director. In 2011 he obtained the attestation from Reproductive Medicine. In 2018 he defended his Ph.D. thesis in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University in Brno on the topic of Ethical and Legal Aspects of Alternative Motherhood and received his Ph.D. He is the author or co-author of more than 50 lectures and papers in professional journals. He is the co-researcher on the grant: GAČR, reg. 17- 07753S panel P408; Alternative motherhood in the Czech Republic: legal, psychosocial and ethical analysis (from 1 January 2017 to 31 December 2019). He cooperates in teaching at the Institute of Health Sciences, Faculty of Humanities, Tomas Bata University, Zlín. Dr. Rumpík is a member of the Commission for the Czech Republic at EDQM at the Council of Europe - Drafting group for elaboration of specific chapter on Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) of Guide to Quality and Safety of Tissues and Cells for Human Application.

He is a member of ESHRE, ASRM. Since 2013, he has been the chairman of the Assisted Reproduction Section of CGPS ​​CzMA.

Prof. Fishel Simon

Professor Simon Fishel is the Founder and President of the CARE Fertility Group – the UK’s largest independent provider of fertility services. He began his research career at the University of Cambridge in 1975 with Bob Edwards, who was responsible with Patrick Steptoe for the birth of the first IVF baby in 1978. During the 1978-1980 he was the first to publish on the metabolic responsiveness of embryos to their environment, and he also published on demonstrating the presence of specific uterine glycoproteins suggesting bidirectional signalling. Simon joined Patrick and Bob at Bourn Hall as Deputy Scientific Director when it opened in 1980, where he was part of the “original” clinical team of four undertaking IVF (the other member being John Webster). In 1979 he was appointed a Research Fellow at Churchill College, and on the same night as Bob Edwards was appointed a Fellow of the same college. In 1980 he was awarded the prestigious Beit Memorial Fellowship and in1984 Simon was the first to publish on the secretion of HCG by the human embryo. He has published over 200 papers and three books and, with Alison Campbell, the first atlas of time-lapse images of the human embryo. His pioneering work in the field of IVF has resulted in many honorary awards from countries such as Japan, Austria, Italy, South Africa and the US, amongst others. In 1992 he founded the world first degree course in IVF and he has advised several international Government committees reviewing policy and legislation on IVF, including advisors to the Vatican. In 1997 he was awarded a Personal Professional Chair in Human Reproduction, is an elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology and in 2009 was honoured by the Liverpool John Moores University with their highest award of ‘University Fellow’ for “outstanding contribution to science and to humanity”. He Founded the Rachel Foundation, a charity for both research to help children rendered infertile due to medical treatment, and also to help raise awareness for secondary infertility. Simon is Co-Founder and Co-Chair of CoGEN:  Controversies in Preconception, Preimplantation and Prenatal Genetic Diagnosis. Simon is also Co-Founder and CEO of ProFaM, the world first organisation to off ovarian tissue cryopreservation for premenopausal hormonal preservation, along with fertility preservation. Simon’s  professional interests span all elements of Human Reproduction, fertility and embryology, and IVF technologies in particular.

Prof. Ariel Revel

Professor Ariel is a director of Reproductive medicine and in vitro fertilization unit at Assaf Harofeh medical center which is affiliated to the Medical school of Tel Aviv University. He was born in Strasbourg, France. He completed MD at the Hebrew university, Jerusalem, Israel. Fellowship in Reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Toronto. He has been visiting professor at Oxford, UK and Stanford, California. He published 96 papers and book chapters mostly in fertility preservation, ovarian cryopreservation and transplantation and endometrial receptivity. He mainly works in IVF and endoscopic surgery.

Prof. Dr. Tomas B. Hildebrandt

Univ. Prof. Dr. Thomas Bernd Hildebrandt studied Veterinaty Medicine at Humboldt University of Berlin and in 1997 he obtained the Board certification for Zoo, Wildlife and Game. Sice 1998 he is a head of the Department Reproduction Management in Leibniz Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research. Around 151 his publications have been published, he is an author of 23 book chaptures and 48 plenary lectures. Since 2008 he has been a member of the Royal College Veterinary Surgeons, UK. He received several honors and recognitions. As for the career highlights, he worked on research expirence such as Sumatran rhino research on assisted reproduction in Sabah, Malaysia, Cell culture, focus artificial gametes in Berlin, San Diego, Fukuoka, JPN or Elephant research, 12 visits, Taronga Zoological Society, AUS and many others.

MUDr. Daniel Hlinka, Ph.D.

Dr. Hlinka graduated at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Košice, Slovakia in 1983, where he also finished his PhD studies with work on The Animal Oocyte Developmental Competences. He is a member of ESHRE and  Senior ESHRE certified embryologist. He is an author of educational platform called Fertilitypedia and the first artificial intelligence  (AI) tool in embryology CATI (Cognitive Automation of Time-lapse Images). His main goal is to merge all data acquired in infertility treatment to analyse them by objective automated tools. Currently, he is an executive director and Head of IVF laboratories at the Prague Fertility Centre (PFC). He is a founder and co-owner of PFC.

MUDr. Štěpán Machač, Ph.D.

MUDr. Štěpán Machač, Ph.D. was born in 1970. He graduated from the Palacký University of Medicine in Olomouc. From 1995 - 2003 he worked at the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Clinic of Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at Palacký University Olomouc and started to deal with infertility treatment. In 2006, he obtained a Ph.D. degree, after defending his dissertation on ovarian hyper stimulation syndrome and congenital thrombophilia. In the years 2006 - 2014, he worked at the Reprofit International clinic as the lead IVF physician for foreign patients. Since 2014 he has been acting as a head of the IVF Clinic in Olomouc. In 2018 he was appointed as a Future Life CMO.
He has authored or co-authored more than 30 lectures and 40 articles in professional journals. In his work he focuses mainly on the issue of assisted reproduction, ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome and gamma donation.

Prof. MUDr. Martin Procházka, Ph.D.

Prof. MUDr. Martin Procházka, Ph.D. was born in Ostrava in 1970. He studied at the Faculty of Medicine of the Palacký University in Olomouc. In 2003, he received the Ph.D. in the field of Gynecology and Obstetrics. Since 2016, he has been a professor of gynecology and obstetrics.
His career was most affected by repeated visits to Swedish clinics in Malmö and Lund. Here he, under the leadership of prof. Karel Marshall and Associate Professor Pellé Lindqvista, devoted his time to thrombophilic conditions in gynecology and obstetrics. He also resided in professional traineeships in Germany, Austria and the Netherlands. Since the beginning of his medical practice he has been dealing with the issue of risk and pathological pregnancy, especially the role of hemocoagulation disorders in individual gestational pathologies. He is the author or co-author of more than hundreds of original works published in Czech and foreign renowned magazines. He is the author of a number of chapters in professional monographs. At present he is the head of the Institute of Medical Genetics at the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Olomouc, and also the Head of the Department of Midwifery at FZV UP.

Dr. Zuzana Holubcová obtained her Ph.D. from the Masaryk University (Brno, Czech Republic) for her work on genetic instability of human embryonic stem cells. During her postdoctoral training in MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (Cambridge, UK) she pioneered live imaging of human oocyte maturation in vitro. Her current research at Department of Histology and Embryology (Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University) covers multiple aspects of oocyte and embryonic development. To translate her scientific knowledge into clinical practice she has become Scientific Advisor at the clinic of assisted reproduction Reprofit International in Brno.

Doctor Michalec is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine of Palacký University in Olomouc. Ing. Radomir Kren, Ph.D. graduated in 1998 at the Faculty of Agronomy of the Czech Technical University in Prague in the field of General Zootechnics. After graduating from the Czech Technical University, he became a researcher at the Department of Reproductive Biology at the Animal Breeding Research Institute in Prague, where he also started a Ph.D. study. During his studies in 2003 he completed a foreign internship at the University of Kobe, Japan, where he dealt with the issue of nucleocytoplasmic interactions of mammalian oocytes, which included the management of micromanipulation techniques (eg. ICSI). He received a scientific degree in the field of Special Zootechnics at the Czech Agricultural University in Prague in 2005. After graduating from the postdoctoral studies, he joined the Center of Assisted Reproduction ISCARE and then Center of Assisted Reproduction Pronatal ARLETA. He has been working for GENNET since 2008. He is a member of Czech Gynecology and Obstetrics Society - Association of Reproductive Embryologists and the European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), which awarded him the Senior Clinical Embryologist in 2013. In 2018, he received a Clinical Embryology attestation and is the author and co-author of scientific articles on reproductive biology and genetics.

Prof. MUDr. Michal Zikán, Ph.D.

Prof. MUDr. Michal Zikán, Ph.D. was born in 1976. He graduated from the First Faculty of Medicine at the Charles University. In the years 2001-2018 he worked at the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Clinic of the First Faculty of Medicine and in the General Teaching Hospital at his oncogynecological team. In 2004, he obtained a Ph.D. degree, habilitated in 2012. In the fall of 2017 he became Head of the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Clinic of the First Faculty of Medicine in the Bulovka Hospital. In December 2018, he was appointed as a professor of gynaecology and obstetrics. He is an author or co-author of more than 100 works in impacted journals that were more than 1600 times quoted. He is a laureate of the France Prize for Medicine. In the research work, he focuses mainly on comprehensive care of patients with gynaecological malignancies, including supportive and palliative care.

Dr. Jakub Horak studied Molecular Biology and Genetics at Masaryk University in Brno (Czech Republic) and received his PhD from the University of Tübingen (Germany). He joined a clinic for reproductive medicine Repromeda in 2011 and since 2015 he has been serving as Genetic Laboratory Director. Laboratory provides genetic testing in reproductive genetics with the main focus on preimplantation genetic testing of human embryos. Dr. Jakub Horak has extensive experience with preimplantation genetic testing of aneuploidies and structural chromosomal rearrengements by next-generation sequencing as well as monogenic diseases by SNP-array-based karyomapping.

Doctor Rybánska studied at the Medical Faculty of Comenius University in Bratislava. After finishing the Faculty of Medicine in 2009, she started her pre-exam preparation at Second Gynecological - Obstetric Clinic in Bratislava. Since the beginning of her clinical practice, she has devoted herself to the issue of reproductive medicine, has attended several foreign courses and internships. She also dealt with the topic of assisted reproduction in her doctoral dissertation on "The course of pregnancy and childbirth after assisted reproduction", which she defended in 2014 and received her PhD.

She obtained the attestation in reproductive medicine in 2018 and currently works as a head doctor at the Clinic of Assisted Reproduction, Gynecology and Urology ISCARE Bratislava. She is the author of many domestic and foreign publications and lectures.

Doc. Mgr. Radek Vodička, Ph.D graduated in Genetics and Molecular Biology from the Faculty of Science of Masaryk University in Brno in 1998. In 2002 he graduated in the field of Examination Methods in Medical Genetics and in 2003 he defended his Ph.D. and in 2015 habilitated at the Medical Faculty of Palacky University in Olomouc in the field of Medical Genetics. He is a member of the Society of Medical Genetics and Genomics of the Czech Medical Society of Jan Evangelista Purkyně, and of the Czechoslovak Society for Forensic Genetics. He is the principal investigator or co-investigator of more than 10 research grant projects. He is the author or co-author of more than 45 professional publications, chapters in monographs and script. Currently, he is intensively engaged in genetic analyzes based on massive high-capacity sequencing technologies at the Institute of Medical Genetics, Faculty Hospital and Medical Faculty of Palacký University in Olomouc.

RNDr. Marcela Kosarova, Ph.D. was born in Ostrava. After graduating from the grammar school, she studied Biochemistry at the Faculty of Science at Masaryk University in Brno. After graduating in 1990, she worked until 2002 at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Immunology, where she researched genes and mechanisms controlling the susceptibility of organisms to certain genetic diseases. In 2002 she was at the birth of the Genetics Laboratory of the Sanatorium PRONATAL, where she devoted herself to reproductive genetics and especially preimplantation genetic diagnostics. She has been specially trained in the field of Investigation Methods in Medical Genetics - Molecular Genetics. She is a co-author of several professional publications and a member of the Society of Medical Genetics and Genomics SLČJEP, the Assisted Reproduction Section of Czech Gynecological and Obstetrical Society of the Czech Medical Society of Jan Evangelista Purkyně and the Association of Reproductive Embryologists.

Mgr. Martina Filová graduated from  Comenius University in Bratislava in the field of biochemistry, later receiving a certificate in medical genetics. She is a member of the ICE (Irish Society of Clinical Embryologists), the IFS (Irish Fertility Society) and ESHRE (European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology). She worked as a leading embryologist in reproductive medicine clinics in Slovakia and gained further experience at the Galway Fertility Clinic in Ireland. Since 2017, she has applied her experience and assisted patients at the ISCARE Clinic in Martin.

He co-founded, together with his father František Lošan, Genetics Pilsen. From 2017 Member of group Next Clinics. After graduating from Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen, Charles University in 1997 , MUDr. Lošan acquired post-graduate certification in gynaecology and obstetrics and clinical genetics. During his career he has acquired lot of experience, diplomas and certificates. MUDr. Lošan has also been organizing specialist conferences, workshops and lectures. He is the managing director of the company and the head of genetics department.

RNDr. Martina Hrubá, Ph.D.

Martina Hrubá has Ph.D. from the 1st Faculty of Medicine of the Charles University in the program Molecular and Cell Biology, Genetics and Virology. Her work included analysis of structural chromosomal reconstruction in haematological neoplasms and study of structural chromosome aberrations of chronic lymphocytic leukemia cells. From 2015 she is a professor at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen at the Faculty of Health Studies. At the same time since 2013, she is a part-time expert in cytogenetics for the Czech Accreditation Institute. Her main work is work in the Genetic Laboratory IVF Zentren in Plzeň as a clinical cytogenetic.

Mrs. Hrubá is a member of several professional societies such as the Society of Medical Genetics and Genomics, the Cytogenetic Section of the Czechoslovak Biological Society and the Gynecological Society. Martina Hrubá participated in the creation of several professional publications.
